Nau mai, haere mai.
Welcome to Huntly – Rāhui Pōkeka.
There’s more to Huntly than just the D*E*K*A sign and the large power station,
leave the beaten track and you’ll find picturesque lakes, relaxing walkways, thrilling stockcars, and friendly locals.
Even though D*E*K*A closed their doors in 2001, the sign in Huntly still stands.
It was originally kept standing by the owner as a reminder of his old life when he and his ex-wife owned a D*E*K*A store.
Now it stands as a unique icon of the town and a relic of a time gone by.
